When you register for the Sunfish Learn to Sail Clinic, we collect personal information including your name, address, email, phone number, and emergency contact information. This information is necessary to process your registration, communicate clinic details, and ensure your safety during the program.

• Contacting you or your emergency contact in case of emergency

Information Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer your personal information to outside parties. Your information is shared only with Catawba Yacht Club staff and instructors who need it to conduct the clinic safely and effectively.

Registration information is retained for the duration of the clinic program and for a reasonable period thereafter for administrative and legal purposes.

Assumption of Risk

Sailing and water-related activities involve inherent risks including but not limited to drowning, injury from equipment, weather conditions, and other hazards. By participating in the Sunfish Learn to Sail Clinic, you acknowledge and accept these risks.

Waiver Requirement

All participants must sign a liability waiver before participating in the clinic. Participants under 18 years of age must have a parent or legal guardian sign the waiver on their behalf. Registration is not complete until the signed waiver is received.

No Guarantee of Results

While our instructors are experienced and dedicated, we cannot guarantee that all participants will achieve a specific level of sailing proficiency. Individual results may vary based on physical ability, weather conditions, and other factors.

Weather and Cancellations

Clinic sessions may be modified or cancelled due to unsafe weather conditions at the discretion of the instructors. Catawba Yacht Club will make reasonable efforts to reschedule cancelled sessions but cannot guarantee make-up dates.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Catawba Yacht Club, its officers, members, volunteers, and instructors shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from participation in the clinic.

Medical Conditions

Participants are responsible for disclosing any medical conditions that may affect their ability to safely participate. The clinic reserves the right to exclude participants if safety concerns arise.
